As I said a couple of days ago, I'm going to make a review about HelixBlog. Now, 2 days before the initial lauch, it's time for the review.

HelixBlog is a new blogging platform, written in Ruby, developed by Marius Stanciu, a 28 years old web developer. Unlike other blogging platforms, HelixBlog is a platform that gives new bloggers a really easy head-start to blogging due to it's very slick interface and some features that are available for other blogs only as plugins.

Unlike it's biggest competitor, Wordpress, HelixBlog incorporates by default some very handy features for new bloggers, such as spam protection, SEO, Markdown or Textile support, automatic pinging to Ping-o-matic, and those are few, considered to what features will be integrated in next versions. Let's be serios, it's version 0.1.0. Can someone tell me a piece of software which was complete at this version?

You may have seen, on many blogs, categories. Well, it's not something you will see here. HelixBlog uses only tags instead.

The biggest pro from my opinion is the very slick interface, which will be very handy for new bloggers. Unlike other blogging platforms, the admin interface is well organized and people new to blogging will find all they need right where they think it should be.

So, there are 2 more days until the official launch. Two more days until you'll have the first Web 3.0 experience.
